The newest building on campus, the Richard L. Hopping Academic Center, houses the M.B. Ketchum Memorial Library ; a 300-seat lecture hall that converts to three 100-seat classrooms.
A student computer lab; seminar and study rooms; a fitness center; a shipping and receiving center; Campus Operations; campus storage; and an adjoining multi-level parking structure for 340 vehicles.
The M.B. Ketchum Memorial Library on the second level of the academic center, provides the resources needed by today's student to combine the knowledge gained through experiences in the classroom and clinical environments.
The 11,616 square-foot, state-of-the-art library offers computer access to databases and information resources, and individual and group study areas.The Library houses a growing collection of over 10,000 books in vision science and related areas; 6,500 bound journals; 300 current journal subscriptions; and over 500 audiovisual titles. Library services include on-line computer reference service; author assistance; current awareness journal service; and interlibrary loans, self service copy machines and an audiotape duplicator. An SCCO-California State University, Fullerton, reciprocal arrangement grants borrowing privileges to library patrons of both schools. The Library is open seven days per week during the academic year. A student computer lab is adjacent to the Library.
