Keratoconus remains the disease entity most commonly treated primarily with contact lenses. Almost one century of both clinical work and academic research have led to enhanced care and knowledge, but still an incomplete understanding of this disease. We will here consider our current understanding of Keratoconus etiology, evolution, diagnosis and contract lens treatments.
