William E. Heaton, Jr., CFRE, is the Vice President of Advancement at the Southern California College of Optometry. A graduate of Amherst College, Bill has been in the non-profit, fund-raising sector for nearly 3 decades. He has supervised 27 capital campaigns and has published several articles on fund-raising. He was recognized as the Fund Raising Professional of the Year for Orange County in 1996. As a member of the President’s Executive Council, Bill’s area of responsibility includes alumni affairs, development, publications and communications.
