Dr. Chung graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2006 after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research in the field of immunology earned him invitations to speak at various regional, national, and international conferences along with publications in peer reviewed journals.
While at SCCO, Dr. Chung completed a research internship with Allergan where his efforts culminated in the development of Optive Lubricant Eye Drops, a next generation over-the-counter artificial tear which was released in 2006.
In addition to his private practice in Santa Monica, California, Dr. Chung is a staff optometrist at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California and the County of Los Angeles Comprehensive Health Clinic in Long Beach, California.
