SCCO Participates at "Rotary Cares" Health Event

Eye exams and prescription glasses were provided by optometric interns and faculty from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO), at the Fullerton Rotary Club's recent community healthcare event.  Fourteen optometric interns and three faculty members provided the vision care, along with five members of SCCO's administrative team who helped facilitate SCCO's participation at "Rotary Cares."

Overall, 80 eye exams were conducted that resulted in 65 prescriptions and spectacles.  Modern Optical provided eyeglass frames and lenses were donated by Bartley Optical and Express Lens.

The free healthcare event for working/low income individuals was sponsored by the Fullerton Rotary Club and held at Richman Elementary School on June 16. The services provided included: vision, dental, basic medical exams and mammograms.
