SCCO Student Association Challenge Gift

		Posted:  Fullerton, CA, June 29, 2012---The SCCO Student Association has made a gift of $10,000 to the College in support of the ACHIEVING 2020 Campaign and issued a challenge to the Board of Trustees and the faculty to each match the gift with a like amount.  The group's decision was based on the campaign's focus on strengthening the future of SCCO by bringing an inter-professional dialogue to one of the most renowned optometry colleges in the nation.
SCCO Student Association President Jackie Renteria, Class of 2014, presented a $10,000 ceremonial gift check in support of the ACHIEVING 2020 Campaign to President Kevin L. Alexander, O.D., Ph.D., at the College's Board of Trustees meeting on June 11.  The Student Association also issued a challenge to the Board of Trustees and the faculty to match the gift with $10,000, respectively.
