The College welcomed a campus visit by Professor Jai-Min Kim, Department of Optometry at Konyang University, South Korea, on November 23. Dr. Kim was accompanied on this visit by 10 of his optometry students who were very interested in touring the campus and learning about SCCO’s curriculum and the optometric profession in the USA. South Korean optometry is endeavoring to raise its standard of education while seeking to establish optometry’s independence as a health profession in the country. The visit was hosted by SCCO's Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs Morris Berman, O.D., M.S., and discussions regarding the establishment of an educational partnership between SCCO and Konyang University were initiated to potentially include exchange programs in Fullerton and South Korea.
