New VP of Advancement and Marketing Starts

A new Vice President of Advancement and Marketing has started at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO). Fullerton resident, Paul A. Stover, M.Ed., began his tenure at the College on July 19. Stover brings more than 15 years of professional experience supporting organizations to achieve fundraising success, ignite innovative programming, optimize budgeting and increase endowment support.

"We are delighted to welcome Paul to SCCO and look forward to working together to increase support and awareness of the College," said SCCO President Kevin L. Alexander, O.D., Ph.D. "It's an exciting time for the College as we launch a new strategic plan that requires the marketing expertise that Paul brings."

Stover earned his Masters in Education degree from California State University, Fullerton and he holds a Preliminary Administration Credential. After teaching for many years at the secondary and college levels, he began his professional development career. Among his experiences, he has held development positions at Claremont Graduate University and served as the Interim Executive Director, Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Foundation. Immediately prior to joining SCCO, he was the Director of Development, College of Pharmacy, Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona.

Active in professional and community organizations, Stover serves as vice chair/commissioner, Technology Working Group, City of Fullerton; co-chair, Development Track, Council for Advancement and Support of Education; member, Association of Fundraising Professionals; member, Wireless Network Task Force, Orange County Business Council; and member, Orange County Forum. He and his wife, Nancy, reside in Fullerton with their four children.
