Glaucoma Regulations for California Optometrists

Regulations to establish the glaucoma certification process have been approved by the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA). After they are approved by State and Consumer Services Secretary and Department of Finance, the regulations will be sent to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL), which has 30 days to approve or reject the regulations. If approved, they will take effect immediately. As soon as this occurs, the College will provide information regarding glaucoma courses that will be offered to optometrists to meet the certification requirements.
