Thirty-five middle school-aged science essay winners were eager participants in Adventures in Science, a collaborative program of the Fullerton School District, Raytheon, Beckman Coulter and the Southern California College of Optometry. The program, held twice a year, introduces children to science-based careers. The most recent program was, Friday, January 15. At SCCO, the final of three stops, the students attended an orientation lecture and participated in hands-on labs taught by faculty and optometric interns. The event concluded with an awards ceremony and dinner.
