Diplomate and Fellow Status Awarded to SCCO Faculty

The American Academy of Optometry (AAO) recently honored four members of SCCO's faculty.  They included Assistant Professor Pat Yoshinaga, O.D., M.P.H., who was awarded Diplomate status in the section of Public Health and Environmental Vision.  Diplomates are Fellows of the AAO who have demonstrated their skill in a specific area.  Recognition as a Diplomate in Public Health and Environmental Vision is awarded for successfully demonstrating knowledge, skills and participation in public health or community optometry activities in their work.

Three SCCO Assistant Professors who were named Fellows of the AAO included:  Raman Bhakhri, O.D., Caren Hirata, O.D., and Justin Kwan, O.D.  All four individuals were honored at the AAO's recent meeting in Phoenix, AZ.
