SCCO optometric interns and faculty who provided care at the January 26 health care clinic at a local armory.  College administrators and volunteers joined them. Ninety-seven patients received vision screenings by these SCCO optometric interns and faculty at a local armory on February 2.

Vision screenings were recently provided to 194 patients at local armories serving as homeless shelters.  Overall, 40 optometric interns, faculty, administrators and volunteers from the Southern California College of Optometry participated at the clinics set-up to provide health care to the underserved.  The armories hosted the clinics on two consecutive Saturday nights, January 26 and February 2, and 148 pairs of glasses were prescribed.
