Faculty Attain AAO Fellowship
Two SCCO faculty members have attained Fellowship status with the American Academy of Optometry (AAO). Instructors Annie W. Chang, O.D. and Lisa M. Edwards, O.D., were recognized at the AAO's annual meeting held November 11–14 in Orlando, FL.
"The national meeting attracted the third largest attendance in AAO history with more than 4,300 attendees," said SCCO Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs Morris S. Berman, O.D., M.S. "Participation by SCCO faculty, residents and students has always been emphasized as the event offers so many educational and research collaborative opportunities. Many SCCO faculty members are also active participants on AAO committees and sections."
Participants from SCCO presented scientific papers and posters during the four-day meeting. In addition, Fourth-Year Student Chris Alferez, received the American Optometric Foundation Carl Zeiss Vision Fellowship.
